Our History:

Founded in 1996 to take advantage of the surge of interest in Internet based business, Webtrade initially focused on developing customized software solutions for companies wishing to trade goods and services using Internet and Intranet technology. To take advantage of a wealth of experience in the stock broking arena, we then expanded our business to include information systems, trading solutions and online account management for various financial institutions. The acquisition in 2001 of WorkStation trading software, formerly licensed by A-S-S-E-T Australia, saw the business change it's name to webtrade.net.au and progress from providing in-house solutions for established stock broking firms, to developing an online trading information service for it's own clientele.

· A Complete Service:
Our Webtrader workstation provides investors with access to Stock Exchange Instruments, Futures and Options through one easy to use interface.

· Security:
Very few systems used to trade financial instruments, whether manual, private or via the Internet, are as secure as the Webtrader workstation. For example: Our message identification is 2048-bit-encrypted, not 256 bit or less. Your Password (or PIN) is never transmitted via the Internet and is therefore secure. Almost all other systems transmit passwords over the Internet. Webtrader workstation message identification uses 3 or more encryption keys, most other systems use 2 encryption keys or less. Webtrader workstation encryption keys change every second, not on a minute-by-minute or hour-by-hour basis, or sometimes not at all!

· Our Messaging is Not Email:
One of the big problems with online trading using E-mail messaging is knowing whether or not your message got through. Our messages and orders are confirmed in real-time and display the message received so that you can be sure the right information arrived at the other end.

· Webtrader workstation is Not HTML, it is Fast:
Our workstation provides continuous, real-time, information faster than any other system we know of. You do not have to wait for HTML pages to finish loading. Messages are sent, received and confirmed in less than one second.
